While Hinuk was more than glad to lead, the boy was fully oblivious to Minji’s despair – and then her discovery of the eggs. Had he noticed, he would probably be crowding her and trying to get the biggest of them all for himself, Faranth be glad the boy was far too busy leading the rest of the group back to the Weyr.
Ketoh, however, was not as oblivious, having spotted the girl return back – and seemingly to desperately search for something. Noticing she was taking long, and that Lace had soon joined her, he followed afterwards – it wouldn’t be good to leave two females alone under the rain and in the open, one never knew what dangers lurked about. After all, you could never be too careful. He did spot the oval shapes before Minji wrapped them up, a faint smile lining his lips as he listened to Lace offer herself to carry the other girl’s sketchpad. So that was what she had returned to look for…
Well, that had been more than luck that the notebook had stayed behind – otherwise these eggs would have stayed in the wild – and maybe even die if the crevasse got filled with too much rain. It was raining hard, after all, and gravity did tend to pull water into holes.
”Well, ladies, we better get going or we’ll be left behind. I’m sure none of you wish to get sick after all, right? Besides, Liyanna will be wanting to know what you found today, Minji."

Minji's baby blue eyes turned toward that of Lace's gaze as she smiled and surrendered the slightly covered sketchbook for her to grab and hide away from the never ceasing pouring of rain. The eggs, wehter she would allow anyone else to carry, was something she was tempting at shoving some toward Ketoh. But, because of her already giving her book up to allow more coverage for the clutch of fire lizard eggs that were weighing her coat down, she just sighed as she turned her view to meet that of the male that had spoke to her.
Before answering, Minji nodded her head, a look of 'Better move on now before we're really left behind'. Her voice was soon found, and then she was speaking just a little over the rain and the crack of thunder that resounded just what seemed a couple miles from where they were.
"More than likely Liyanna will want to supervise this fair of fire lizards that, hopefully will hatch out.." She flinched as another thunder sounded and a crack of lightning flashed overhead before the candidate/Sr. apprentice artist started a few yards from the leading Hinuk.

Ahead of what Minji's gaze could see, she could swear that she could see the outline of the Weyr's only entrance via foot. With looks of hope, Minji glanced on either side of her toward her close friend, Lace, and Ketoh. Surely they wouldn't get sick for having stayed out thus long in the rain. However, to Minji, she was feeling ever so cold and just looking at the outline of the Weyr made Minji gasp in agony as she walked at a brisk pace to keep as much of herself warm, even though goose pimples where beginning to show upon the revealing flesh of her arms.

A thick piece of material could only do so much for Minji -- Lace knew her friend was just as cold as she was. Lace had tucked the sketchbook into her bag, where it was now protected among the many scraps of material and such. Even if the rain managed to get past the special material of her bag, the rest of the odd and ends inside would stop the front of dampness.
Lace felt soaked to the bone -- her clothing stuck to her as if tragically devoid of life. Time seemed to taunt them and make their progress oh so slow, and every step was a pain. Wait ... a pain? Lace paled slightly when she realized what it was ... it was her old injury awakening at the cold. Shard it all, now was not the time! The girl walked normally, and pushed it from her mind. The lightning lashed down from the angry sky to crack at the earth near the boy who led them on, and Lace winced.
This was getting bad ...
"We are almost there," she said loudly enough for Minji to hear, and she herself couldn't wait to be indoor and in a warm bath. She needed to stop this ache before it became bad again. Hopefully no one else had noticed -- she didn't want the attention when they were all in a form of danger. Any pausing would be bad ... anytime now, there could even be a flash flood.
The sooner they got to the weyr, the better.

The rain only seemed to get harder, the male taking his shirt off before it got soaked severely. He then used it as an umbrella, covering both girls with the fabric. It wasn't much, and it would get soaked in seconds, but it had to be better than being hit directly by raindrops. And it might prevent sickness. His sharp eyes, trained though dagger combat and having been raised in the life of a caravan, noticed Lance faint awkward walk -- though Ketoh refused to comment about it. Some people could get edgy about being treated like defenseless forest creatures, and he didn't want to risk angering either of the girls. Girls could be unpredictable sometimes.
"More than likely Liyanna will want to supervise this fair of fire lizards that, hopefully will hatch out.." "I wouldn't be surprised if she did. Firelizards can be helpful, she'll probably make sure we train them well. If they impress to us, that is. Though, hopefully, some of them will."
He would have helped carry the eggs, but now shirtless he couldn't really do much. They would only get cold in his drenched fabric, and he couldn't quite just toss them into his pockets. Lightning was now falling constantly, and the male begun to get edgy. The weather was getting dangerous.
"Oi, Hinuk! Hurry up at the front! Before Faranth decides to fry us!" "I'm going as fast as I can! You lot need to hurry up mor-- Oh, look! The entrance! Come on everyone!"
It was clear the brat was having a blast being the leader of this parade, dashing to the entrance before he stopped in his tracks, waving with his hands to indicate the others should hurry. Ketoh smirked lightly, unable to hold off a small chuckle.
"Bundle of energy that one is...'
The comment was more to himself than anyone else, though he matched his pace with that of Minji and Lace. He would not leave the two girls behind.

Once the book was safely stashed away within the keeps of Lace's bag, Minji felt a little more secure about knowing the contents were at least mostly secure. Surely it wouldn't be as bad when she goes through to see for damage.
Now, as Ketoh and Lace were matched with the pace of Minji's own footfall, she was slightly concerned, shocked, but mostly concerned as Ketoh took his shirt off. As much as Minji knew that the male candidate was trying to protect them, he was more than likely to catch the flu or something because it was freezing rain that was falling down upon them, soaking anything they could get a hold of. Because Minji was concerned with the wellfare of the eggs, but mostly toward her friends, she had not noticed the slight limp in Lace's steps.
At the comment made by Lace reached Minji's ears, she looked up once again and saw the entrance ahead of them before turning down to watch her step. She didn't was to slip and break an egg. As hard as they felt, she still feared that they were delicate and easily broken should they fall a certain way. From Hinuk's outspoken words, again, Minji looked up and then toward Lace and Ketoh before she nodded her head in a way that meant that all was going to be fine and that they should get a faster move on.

Once Minji stepped into the courtyard of the Weyr, Minji hesitated for a few moments before heading in the direction of the closest building, calling for the Weyrwoman. Whether Liyanna was in the building or not, calling for her was better than nothing. As to which building, Minji did not care for shelter was the best place and there was obviously going to be no form of arguement should someone decide to snap at them for being out in the cold, wet day.. What was to become of the eggs?

"Shards! I'm soaking wet!"
Now inside the safety of the building, and relieved of is leading roll, Hinuk was more than free to start complaining, earning a half scowl from Ketoh. Still, he male ignored him for now, having just arrived with Lace and Minji in tow, before he took his shirt off from them and moved to a corner. There he twisted and turned the fabric until he could no more -- trying to get as much water off from it as he could. Once pelased he used it as a towel to dry himself, though the male did not place it back on. A damp shirt could only aid him more in getting a fever. Hinuk, by now, had noticed Minji carried something, and the boy was now pestering her.
"Oh, what's that?! What did you find? Huh? Huh, huh, huh?" "Stop being a bother, Hinuk." "Shut up, Ketoh. I'm not talking with you!"

Fariel hurried after the others, swearing under her breath with every step. Her clothes were soaked, and she was cold. To top it all off, her long hair was going to be extra frizzy when it dried off, and at the moment it was getting in her face and making it hard to see.
"Sh--ah--choo!" She let out a loud curse that ended in a tremendous sneeze. Scowling, she picked up the pace and fell into step behind the two young men. She was very happy to see the Weyr up ahead, and she almost slipped on the wet ground in her haste to reach the courtyard.
Now that she was back to relative safety, she noticed that Minji was carrying something. That must be what she had gone back for. "Hey, are those eggs?" She asked curiously.
