General Information

Name: Raja
Age: 15
Gender: Female

Appearance

Hair: Black, but bleaches to auburn in the summer months.
Eyes: Dark brown.
Height: 5'4"
Over-All: Raja is small and fine boned. Her hair, which she hates to have in her face a lot, she keeps cut short and spiked. She thinks she looks rather pointed, and hates it. Her eyes are large for her face, and too close tegether in her opinion. Her mouth is small, her chin pointy. She does her best to look bigger than she is with a straight back and her head held high, but she's still small.

Personality

Raja is crazy-hyper. She's always got to be doing something. The excess energy contributes to the attention deficit problem she has, bu it also adds an interesting touch to her. Because of the energy, she tends to get into a lot of trouble. Despite her lack of attention to the boring parts of life, she has plenty of concentration for pranks and trickery. This tends to get her in trouble with the ranks, and it doesn't help that she's got a mouth on her. She doesn't often think before she says something, so she does tend to come across as rude or blunt. The rank has been known to call her impudent and insolent.

History

Raja was born to a rider pair at the Weyr, but fostered to a family in the Hold. She went to all her lessons, but was easily bored. Her mind wandered a lot. As such, she tended to get in trouble for not paying attention to her lessons. At four, she was apprenticed to the healer craft. With her attention deficit, she was constantly scolded for not finishing her chores or lessons. It finally got to the point that she was given extra chores as punishment. This only made matters worse. She couldn't seem to finish original chores, let alone the extra chores. She was constantly in the master's office, head hung low, being berated for not finishing this chore, or botching that transcription.

It wasn't long, though, that she learned to hide the fact that she wasn't paying attention. She day dreamed through her chores, though she did most of it right. It wasn't that hard to roll the bandages tight and be imagining herself in the lake swimming. For that matter, she was in the clouds with the dragons more often than not. Though she knew she would never be Searched or Impress. She didn't really want to. Despite the fact that she didn't pay a lot of attention, she came to really enjoy the healer craft.

When she was ten, the lessons became harder and required more time with the records studying. Because it was more challenging, she found it easier to concentrate on the material. Maybe it was the added difficulty of it, or she was finally growing out of her attention deficit, she didn't know. The journeymen and master noticed the change, though, and approved. They kept piling her with the more difficult tasks, and she continued to improve.

Now, though still easily distracted from her tasks, she's better about getting her lessons and chores and duties completed. For the most part, the other healers don't complain about her. She still likes to have fun and get into what mischief she can, but she gets her chores done first.
